Eddie the guide

Thanks to Mr Mark Woodhouse we were able to visit the new "Hall & Woodhouse" brewery at Blandford. Mark arranged a guided tour especially for us on March 2nd and we stayed for lunch in the restaurant, a brilliant day out for us. The old brewery buildings are to be sold for re-development in the future, so if you want a property with character get your name down now.

Hops used in brewing

In the hop store, the hops come in many varieties for the different brew recipes but these days they're in the form of pellets, in sealed packs. Not very traditional but they smell nice, believe it or not.

Our group of Stickmakers make their way around the miles of stainless steel, guided carefully by Eddie.

Eddie was an absolute authority on Hall & Woodhouse, I don't think anyone caught him out with their questions.

Being a Saturday everything was shut down and very quiet but it was so clean and tidy and highly polished.

Bottling Plant

Just one part of the Bottling and Canning Plant, I bet it's noisy when it's running.

Retaurant Brewery Bar

The Brewery Restaurant and Bar with museum upstairs to the left, well worth a visit. This is the Bar where we were forced to drink samples
